Nourish-Supported License Applications

Edited

When Nourish requests you to obtain a license in a new state, you can choose to have our licensing team handle the application process on your behalf. This guide explains how the process works if you chose to opt in.

What Nourish Handles

Our licensing team manages the application from start to finish, including:

  • Completing and submitting your application

  • Requesting official transcripts from your educational institutions

  • Coordinating license verifications from other states

  • Tracking application status with state boards

  • Following up on any state requests or issues

What we need from you: Login credentials for specific portals, such as transcripts or license verification portals. We'll request these when needed.

What You Need to Do

Your involvement is minimal but essential. Here's what you're responsible for:

Provide Required Information

The licensing team will contact you via email to request:

  • Personal information needed for the application

  • Login credentials for verification systems

  • Any supporting documents specific to the state

Response time matters: Reply promptly to keep your application moving forward.

Complete Fingerprinting (If Required)

Some states require fingerprinting as part of the background check process.

  • We help schedule the appointment but it is your responsibility to complete this step at an approved location (commonly an IdentoGO or similar)

  • Nourish reimburses fingerprinting costs through Ramp

  • The licensing team will provide specific instructions for your state

Timeline Expectations

Processing times vary significantly by state:

  • Fast states: 2-4 weeks

  • Average states: 6-8 weeks

  • Slow states: 10-16 weeks

Delays can occur due to state board processing times, transcript delivery, or verification requests.

Communication & Updates

After you opt in: There may be a short delay before the licensing team reaches out. They work through applications in the order received, so please be patient as they work through open requests.

Initial contact: The licensing team will email you with specific request for your state.

Ongoing updates: You'll receive emails when we need information from you or when there are significant status changes.

Questions? Reply directly to licensing team emails to receive a status update on your license.

After Your License Is Issued ✅

You'll receive an email from the licensing team confirming your license is issued. This email includes:

  • Your license number

  • Issue date

  • Expiration date

  • Login information for the state board portal

What Nourish does: We'll update your CAQH profile with your new state license.

💰Action Required: Add your new license to your Provider Portal immediately. This step triggers your state bonus payment (if applicable). Without completing this step, your bonus will not be processed.

Ongoing responsibilities: Once your license is active, you own all future management:

  • Completing continuing education requirements

  • Submitting renewal applications

  • Maintaining compliance with state regulations

Nourish does not handle renewals or reinstatements. You are responsible for keeping your licenses current after initial issuance.

Nourish does reimburse renewal fees for eligible states. See the Licensing Reimbursement guide for details.
