Apply for Texas Licensure

Edited

All providers are required to obtain and maintain active Texas licensure to practice with Nourish as an in-network provider.

Apply for Texas licensure within three days of signing your offer letter. Fees associated with obtaining Texas licensure will be reimbursed after your start date.

Once you've applied for Texas licensure, please submit this Texas Licensure Tracker form so we can monitor for your approval!

Why do I need a Texas license?

Because Nourish's insurance contracts are through the state of Texas, all providers must have a TX license to be credentialed with Nourish. Credentialing allows you to see patients as an in-network provider.

What if I already have a Texas license?

Verify that your TX license is active. If it is, you can bypass the application process.

If your TX license is expired, contact TDLR at 512-463-6599 for renewal instructions. The renewal process differs from the initial licensure application detailed below.

Apply for Texas licensure within three days of signing your Nourish offer letter.

Application Instructions:

Processing Timelines:

  • Your Texas license may be approved in just a few days. Or, if you hold licensure in multiple states, it may take up to two weeks.

  • Approval is first posted on the TDLR site without notification. Check your status every few days after applying to avoid start date delays.

  • If your license has not been approved within two weeks, contact TDLR at 512-463-6599 for a status update.

Reimbursing Texas Licensure

All expenses incurred to obtain your Texas license are eligible for reimbursement. Please note that reimbursements will be paid out after your Nourish start date, typically on your first paycheck if submitted in time.

Expenses will be submitted for reimbursement through JustWorks > Expenses, our HR platform. You will gain access to JustWorks approximately one week prior to your start date. Be sure to keep a record of expenses so you can submit for reimbursement once access is granted.
