Application and Fees

To apply for a new license, submit a completed application along with the fee of $100.

You must also submit with your application:

  • Proof of a current, valid Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).

  • Background Check - please see details here.

    • Note: You are strongly encouraged to have your fingerprints submitted via electronic transmission (LiveScan), but this is only available if you live in Nevada.

Step by Step Application Guide

  1. To apply online, log in to the Online Licensing System and then click "To Apply for a Dietitian License" in the left column.

  2. Complete and submit the Dietitian Application and Checklist (PDF link).

  3. Include the non-refundable $100 initial licensure application fee and all of the required forms and items:

License Renewal Requirements

Dietitian certifications expire every 2 years.

Fee: $200

Step by Step Application Guide

  • To renew your license, log in to the Online Licensing System and then click "Renew" on the welcome screen.

  • There are no specific continuing education (CEU) requirements to maintain a dietitian license.
