How to Apply for Your Alabama RD License

Application Fee: $260 | Format: Online

This guide will walk you through applying for your Alabama Dietitian-Nutritionist license on your own. The process is straightforward and entirely online through the Alabama State Board portal.

Quick Overview: What You Need to Know

Alabama uses an online portal system for licensure applications. Here's what makes this process manageable:

✅ You'll need to provide:

  • Copy of your current driver's license or photo ID

  • Copy of your current CDR card

  • 2 professional references (contact information only)

  • Confirmation if you've ever been licensed by Alabama before

✅ You'll enter information from:

  • Your CAQH profile (employment history, education, internship)

  • Your current Nourish employment details

  • Your professional references

💡Good News: Unlike some states, Alabama doesn't require your references to complete separate forms or send verification letters. You simply enter their contact information in your application.
